The Bologna process
Information
and an invitation to cooperate
At Nike
Pokorn’s initiative, this section should present information about the Bologna process as it is
implemented in various countries. The first contribution
is from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. We
would welcome further contributions (see below).
Dear
colleagues,
Many EST
members are also members of different European universities and other higher
education institutions and are concerned. Many of us are or have been heavily
involved lately in the creation of new programmes in accordance with the
proposed Bologna
patterns. One frequent requirement for the accreditation of a new programme is
comparability with similar programmes elsewhere in Europe.
In order to help our members find comparable programmes for all three levels,
i.e. BA, MA and PhD, and to inform them of changes in translation, interpreting
and Translation Studies teaching, we should like to invite EST members to inform
us of programmes of translation, interpreting or Translation Studies which have
already been accredited and to indicate a Web address where they could be visited.
If the relevant webpage is not in English, we would appreciate it if you kindly
sent us English translations of relevant programmes and we will post them on
the web. If you have any comments or questions, please write to:
