European Society for Translation Studies

Become a member of the Society

Researchers from all over the world are invited to become members of the Society.

Professional translators and companies are also welcome to become members. However, the Society does not in any way certify professional qualifications.

Individual membership of the Society entitles you to:

- compete for the Society's awards and grants

- attend the Society's congresses and symposia

- benefit from the discounts arranged with publishers

- gain access to the research reports, membership lists, and other exclusive material on our Internet site.

- receive the Society's newsletter twice a year

- receive our weekly email bulletins of call for papers, job announcements, and new publications.

Membership may also be an important element in your CV, since it indicates the seriousness of your commitment to translation research, and your desire to form a part of the research community.

Apart from the status of membership for individuals, the Society also offers supporting membership, which is open to institutions and legal persons.

Fees

The annual membership fee is 30 euros per year for full members and 75 euros for supporting members. It is due by 31 March each year.

It is possible to pay for a one-year or a three-year membership period.

Renew membership

To renew your membership, please indicate your name and the date on the form here (no other details are necessary) and send your payment to the EST treasurer as indicated below.

The deadline for renewal is March 31.

On any payment, please indicate your OWN name and the membership year 2012 (or 2012-14 if you want to pay for three years).
